~The Rise Up Series~

Words..

Words are like magic. They can be used in many ways and for many reasons. We use them to communicate and through these words, we can elevate, enervate, devastate, or motivate. Some words are so powerful that they can be used like a spear to stab you deep in the heart, while others are merely used as a way to define who you are, or to control a future that no one knows or should have control over. The sad truth about words is that they are so cheap that people can use them for free to tame you and allow you to believe that what they say about you is actually true!

Protect your energy.

Protecting your energy, I think can be your most valuable asset. There is a bible verse that talks about a thief who comes to steal, cheat, and destroy. People will come into your life to steal your happiness, to cheat on you by not investing in your greatness, and to destroy you by taking away your precious energy. The funny part is, you might also not even know that you have this energy until it has been stripped away- so much that in a few years down the line, you realize that you have no drive, no motivation, and no love. Protecting your energy means being selfish with what and who you allow into your personal space and what prophecies you choose to accept.

You know who you are so claim it!

I am fierce!

As mentioned above, our words can be very dangerous, but it's even more dangerous when we begin to use our own words against us. It's like creating a weapon against yourself.

There are many things that can cause you to use your words against yourself.

For example, you have devoted your life and time to a company or a career and now it's time to apply for a job or promotion. The first denial was okay, but now you are on your fifth rejection letter and you start to think that you do not have what it takes.

You might be applying for an admission to get into the college of your dreams and for years, you have waited, taken courses, and done all you can do but still no acceptance. You feel lost, maybe pending student loans, and an unforeseen future; all of a sudden you start to believe that you are not smart and you should start thinking about settling.

Another scenario is the relationship kind....you get into a relationship and you realize years after being with this person, hoping, or thinking that things would get more serious, only to find out that this person's feelings were not mutually invested as yours. Or, you are in an abusive marriage and you just don't know how you got there. You now have children. Not knowing what to do, you start calling yourself all kinds of names and blaming yourself for every decision you've ever made.

Find your inner voice, let it burn, and bring positive energy to your surrounding.

Whatever it is, your words and voice are so powerful that it can change your story, your future, and your entire world. If you find yourself with rejection letters, don't fret! This is not because you are not good enough, it is because you have so much more to offer and the world has yet to catch up to your potential. Do not allow that letter or someone behind a desk to quantify or qualify you! Never tell yourself that you are not good enough or that you do not have what it takes. That's a lie that people and your surroundings want you to believe! What you need to do is to rise above the noise, above the rejections, and above the situation. Instead of putting yourself down, prophesy over yourself, and claim it until you start to believe it! Believe in the power of your own words because YOU ARE ABLE!

Your inner flame burns because of the power within you which starts from the power of your words. Your entire existence revolves around this power and what you think and say adds power to the flame. Like Goku in Dragon Ball Z. Goku can only reach a super-saiyan level by finding his inner power or energy which then propels him and makes him stronger. Note that having an inner flame does not mean that water will not touch you, it simply means that you have the power to turn water into gasoline before it actually hits you.
